Bioinformatics Alumni Joins BU's IS&T

Andy graduated with a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from BU in 2019 - making this a back-to-BU career move!

Andy (he, him, his) is a Research Applications & Data Specialist in RCS. He recently completed an industry postdoctoral fellowship at Amgen - a large biotech company focused on developing therapeutics for patients. His work there involved analysis of man genetics data (including gene expression and epigenetics), and his project aimed to better understand how disease-associated variants contribute to inflammation pathogenesis.

Andy will focus on supporting researchers on the Medical Campus, including Framingham Heart Study and Alzheimer Disease Sequencing Projects.
