J.D. Hogan Presented at the 2017 Beilstein Glyco-Bioinformatics Symposium

Ph.D. candidate J.D. Hogan attended the 2017 Beilstein Glyco-Bioinformatics Symposium from June 13th-15th in Berlin! He presented his poster, “Current advances in automated analysis of glycosaminoglycan tandem mass spectrometry,” where he described the progress his lab has made in analyzing mass spectra generated for glycosaminoglycan analytes.

Some quotes from J.D. on his experience at the symposium: "The conference was a useful experience for my growth as a student and a glyco-bioinformaticist. I was able to hear a wide variety of talks and poster presentations spanning the breadth of the field of glycomics, and also able to meet and discuss the current state of the science with many of the experts in the field. The small size of the conference – about fifty attendees – also allowed for a more intimate experience with more one-on-one and small group discussions. I recommend the conference for future students who specialize in glycomics and bioinformatics."
